Through her writing, both fiction and non-fiction, Monisha Raman seeks to explore the imperceptible connection humans share with land. Her essays and short stories have been published internationally by several literary and ecological magazines like Where the Leaves Fall, It’s Freezing in LA, Singapore Unbound, Impermanent Earth, Planted Journal, Terralingua Langscapes and several more. Her work has also appeared in anthologies and she edits the GLF Newsletter.

She was the winner of the Orange Flower Award for Short Fiction in 2020 and is an alumnus of Granta Writers’ Workshop (nature writing). Her debut work of fiction is forthcoming by Running Wild Press in the USA in 2025 and is being represented by The Book Bakers Literary Agency in India.
