Notorious for rolling up into a ball like a pangolin to avoid meeting people, Rohan Chakravarty is a cartoonist, illustrator, and the creator of Green Humour – a series of cartoons, comics and illustrations on wildlife and nature conservation.
Cartoons from Green Humour appear periodically in newspaper columns, magazines and journals, including Sunday Midday, The Hindu, Roundglass Sustain and Go Comics.
Illustrations from Green Humour have been used for several wildlife awareness and conservation projects by WWF International, Save Our Seas Foundation, Wildlife Trust of India, Nature Conservation Foundation, Birdlife International and Forest Departments of 6 Indian states among others.
Rohan is the author of The Great Indian Nature Trail (WWF India), Making Friends with Snakes (but from a distance) (Pratham), Bird Business (BNHS) and Green Humour for a Greying Planet, India’s first environment-focused comic book. His latest release is Naturalist Ruddy: Adventurer. Sleuth. Mongoose, a one-of-a-kind comic book in which a spy mongoose unearths some of nature’s most fascinating mysteries across India’s various natural habitats.
He has won awards by UNDP, Sanctuary Asia, WWF International, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Publishing Next for his work.
